It’s now been more or less a week now since Comiket 76 and things are slowing down as the excitement fades. Releases are down to a trickle on Share, and while there’s still a veritable mountain of stuff I haven’t even touched still on there my download cap is reaching it’s limit (far into deficit, actually) so at this point I more or less just pop on to see if I can spot anything that catches my eye. A fair few things are still missing though with Kraster, O-Life Japan and Cis-Trance among others having not shown up at all, while -en- (which I talked about in an earlier post) has only shown up as a 192kbps rip. One can only hope that in the days and weeks to come that these too will appear.
For now though it’s time to relax a bit and enjoy some of the tunes that I’ve grabbed; with roughly 80 albums though it’ll take a fair while before I’ve heard it all. Hopefully once I’ve found out which ones I like I’ll be able to locate somewhere where I can pick up some legit copies if there are any left, would be great to own them. There won’t be too much time to relax though, as September is just around the corner and that means it’ll be time for the Fall season anime to arrive and go back-to-back with C76 in continuing to squeeze my download cap as I launch into some reviewing. Thank goodness I’ve taken holidays for next month!

It’s been about a year and a half since I put this blog up – it was originally meant to be for my trip to Japan last year – and only now am I actually putting some content in it. Originally it was due to a bit of laziness (as well as being in another country and, you know, being preoccupied with touristing) and after that it sort of got left behind when I realised I didn’t actually have anything exciting to talk about. Well, maybe now I’ve decided on what I can do.
Anime, of course! Well, to be more specific I thought I’d do some reviews and such on the current season’s anime and the groups subbing them; mainly it would involve grabbing the first episode of each series/OVA/etc at the start of the season, watching through it, and then reporting back on how it – and how good the sub group – is. Iffy at this stage as to how indepth I’ll go, but for certain there would be a “this season at a glance / for dummies” post that lumps everything into teirs so that those who are unsure as to what’s out there – and more importantly what to actually get – can figure out what’s up fairly quickly.
First cab off the rank will be Fall Season – that’s September / October / November for those of us on the better half of the hemisphere – and after flicking through what’s slated to be released I can’t say I’m really looking forward to it. There’s a fair slab of romance / shoujou type stuff on offer, though a few glimmers of hope in the form of sequels and epics look like they’ll tide me through. I’m trying to be nice and ‘objective’ about things here, as I think it’d be a good idea to not start out the whole blogging gig by slagging genres I don’t give a damn for, even if I, well, actively hate them. Let’s see if I can keep that up when I have to sit through 24 minutes of them :D
